Alice writes fiction and poetry. She has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Hull and is a graduate of the Roundhouse’s Poetry Collective development programme. One voice in the spoken word collective Spare the Poets, she has performed her work at festivals across the UK including Bestival, LoveBox and Globe Road. Her writing has appeared in The Stinging Fly (Issue 28, Vol. 2), National Poetry Anthology 2012, and Lightship Anthology 2, was shortlisted for the Lightship International Short Story Prize 2012 and longlisted for the Out-Spoken Prize for Poetry 2017. Alice also works as a freelance arts marketeer and copywriter, and has worked with a number of organisations, including Photography Course London, Youth Music Theatre UK, UniSlam and Apples and Snakes.
About Spare the Poets
STP is a fifteen-strong spoken word collective born out of
the Roundhouse Poetry Collective 2014/15. Currently in
the second phase of development for Milk Teeth, a
collaborative spoken word show. This stage of
development is being supported by Battersea Arts Centre.
The first scratch was performed as part of The Last Word
Festival 2016 at Roundhouse, Camden.
